Biographical / Historical

APEX Ministries United Methodist Church was located at 2039 Toledano Street, New Orleans, La.

In 2016, APEX Ministries was formed through a partnership between APEX (Always Pursuing Excellence) Youth Center, a New Orleans based non-profit, and the Louisiana Conference of the United Methodist Church. The congregation had earlier origins as a satellite operation of Rayne Memorial United Methodist Church (New Orleans, La.) and Saint Paul's United Methodist Church (Harahan, La.). Reverend Lisa Fitzpatrick served as the director of APEX Youth Center and became the founding pastor of APEX Ministries United Methodist Church. In June 2017, APEX Ministries United Methodist Church was chartered as a mission congregation. Founded and led by teenagers and young adults, the church focused on youth outreach, charity, and activism in New Orleans.

APEX Ministries United Methodist Church closed in June 2019.
