Biographical / Historical
Welsh Memorial United Methodist Church (Vinton, La.) began around 1890 as the Vinton Methodist Episcopal Church South (Vinton, La.). The congregation completed its first church building in 1903. In 1965, the building was enlarged and renovated. In 1983, the church dedicated a new building located at 1110 Horridge Street, Vinton, Louisiana. At this time, the church was renamed Welsh Memorial United Methodist Church. Welsh Memorial United Methodist Church disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church in 2022.
