Biographical / Historical
Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church (Aycock, La.) traces its orgins to shortly after the Civil War. In its early years, the congregation was known as New Hope Methodist Episcopal Church South. In 1913, the church relocated and began holding services at a brush arbor along Highway 146. In 1914 the congregation constructed a church building located at 3647 Louisiana Highway 146, Homer, Louisiana. Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church in 2022.
