This collection documents the activities of Saint James United Methodist Church (Marrero, La.). The collection includes membership records, administrative records, and historical records. The administrative records consist of material created by the congregation’s administrative board/council, finance committee, Men Fellowship, Woman’s Society of Christian Service, and United Methodist Women, as well as the church’s charter and property records. Biographical / Historical

Saint James United Methodist Church (Marrero, La.) began in 1954. In 1956, the congregation dedicated a church building at 3901 Seventh Street. From 1982 to 1994 the congregation shared a pastoral charge with Belle Chasse United Methodist Church (Belle Chasse, La.). In 1994, Saint James closed.
