Biographical / Historical
William Lilburn Byers (1884-1962) is the son of David Owen Byers and Eleanor M. Carmack Byers. He enrolled at Centenary College of Louisiana in 1900 and graduated in 1903. In 1930, he established Byers Cash Store in Gilliam, Louisiana. He later served as vice president and director of the Caddo Trust and Saving Bank of Belcher-Gilliam. In 1911, he married Juanita Sebastian Byers (1884-1930).
