Scope and Contents
Centenary Muses scrapbooks consist of two volumes primarily containing information about the organization and its annual book bazaar. Both volumes include flyers and photographs. The older volume (1987-1997) also includes newsletters, newspaper clippings, financial records, and lists of campus projects funded by the Muses.

Biographical / Historical
The Centenary Muses, established in 1984, is a philanthropic women’s organization consisting of Centenary alumni and other supporters. The organization was described in 1985 as dedicating itself to recruiting students, raising endowment, and improving the quality of life on campus. In 1987, the Muses hosted the first Friends of Centenary Book Bazaar. This annual fundraiser involves the organization collecting and selling books donated by the community. Proceeds are used to fund projects and programs for Centenary students. The Muses also sponsor annual study series.
