Biographical / Historical

Bettie Rea Fox Hollingsworth graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana in 1949. She earned a master’s degree from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in 1950. From 1950 to 1953, Hollingsworth worked as the Conference Director of Youth Work for the Louisiana Conference of the Methodist Church. In 1953, she married Bob Hollingsworth. From 1962 to 1963, she served as vice president for the Alumni Association of Centenary College of Louisiana.
