This collection documents the activities of the First United Methodist Church (Leesville, La.). The collection includes membership records, baptism records, transfer records, and administrative records.
Leesville Charge Methodist Episcopal Church South quarterly conference record book (1900-1903) is a photocopy facsimile. The bulk of the records document the Leesville congregation, though congregations in the nearby communities of DeRidder and Juanita are also mentioned in 1902. Reports in the record book include information about the general state of the churches and Sunday Schools, the religious instruction of children, financial matters, and statistical information about baptisms and membership. Specific individuals identified in the volume are usually church administrators. In some instances, members are identified at the time of joining a congregation, baptism, and death.
