This collection consists of the minutes of annual meetings (called a District Conference) by the New Orleans District of the Louisiana Conference B of the United Methodist Church. These meetings were attended by the district’s clergy and lay delegates from each pastoral charge; it was presided over by the district superintendent.

The minutes document the administrative activities of the meetings and regularly include a roll of members, lay activities, resolutions, and reports from the following: Women’s Society of Christian Service, Wesleyan Service Guild, District Director of Education, and District Secretary of Social Concerns. District Conference minutes for 1969 and 1970 also include: Charge Conference reports, Women’s Society of Christian Service and Wesleyan Service Guild directories. District Conference minutes for 1970 include publications commemorating the final meeting of New Orleans District B.
