Scope and Contents
This volume contains administrative reports about church congregations on the Pleasant Hill Circuit of
the Louisiana Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church South. The circuit was part of the
Shreveport District in northwest Louisiana. The circuit included the following congregations: Beulah,
Gum Grove, Marthaville, Pleasant Hill, Robeline, and Union Grove.
The administrative reports include information about the spiritual condition of congregations, financial
matters, and statistical information about baptisms and membership. Specific individuals identified in
the volume are usually church administrators. In a few instances, members are identified upon baptism
or death.
