Ida United Methodist Church (Ida, La.)
Biography
Ida United Methodist Church was located at 8674 Cedar Lane, Ida, Louisiana.
The church was organized in 1903. After brothers James T. Means and William Burney Means donated land to the congregation, the first church building was constructed in 1904. The church is the second-oldest structure in Ida. The parsonage was built two years later. A fellowship hall and kitchen were later built. A new piano and full-size organ were also acquired by the church. The church facilities were later completely renovated, including the addition of a steeple.
Ida United Methodist Church disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church in May 2023.
