Biography

Antioch United Methodist Church (Antioch, La.), located at 3406 Louisiana Highway 544, traces its origins to Methodists holding services in a Union Church shared with other denominations in the 1870s. Later, these Methodists constructed their own church building. The Antioch church cornerstone states the congregation was organized in 1885. In 1904, the building burned and was replaced with a new church. This structure was replaced with a new church building dedicated in 1953. In 1986, the church dedicated a new wing of classrooms. Antioch United Methodist Church disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church in 2022.
