Biography

The Keachi Charge of the Louisiana Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church South (DeSoto Parish, La.) originated in 1903. The charge underwent numerous name changes: Logansport Charge (1898-1901), Keachi and Logansport Charge (1901-1903), Keachi Charge (1903-1912), Logansport Charge (established 1912). The charge was part of the Shreveport District in northwest Louisiana. Note: Keachi is also sometimes spelled Keatchie and Keachie.
