Biography

Ruston Methodist Episcopal Church South (Ruston, La.) was organized in 1884. The church acquired land at the northwest corner of Alabama Avenue and Trenton Street in 1885 and constructed their first building. A new brick church was built circa 1904. This congregation is a predecessor of Trinity United Methodist Church (Ruston, La.).

This book acquired circa 1890 -- with additional information documenting earlier years -- primarily contains membership records (1885-1926) of Ruston Methodist Episcopal Church South (Ruston, La.). The book also contains a small amount of information from other churches: one marriage (1924) at Second Methodist Episcopal Church South (New Orleans, La.), and one infant baptism (1927) at Felicity Methodist Episcopal Church South (New Orleans, La.).
